Jonathan Andic, the son of the late Mango founder Isak Andic, announced Tuesday that he is stepping down from his role at the clothing retailer following an arrest linked to his father's death.

The 45-year-old company vice chairman wrote a letter to his employees where he discussed the ongoing homicide case and said he is stepping down from his duties. Isak Andic, 71, died on Dec. 14, 2024, after he fell off a cliff while hiking in a mountain with Jonathan Andic in Collbató, according to prosecutors.

On May 19, Catalan police arrested Jonathan Andic as part of the investigation and he was released on €1 million bond. He maintained his innocence and expressed sympathy for his father's death in the letter.

"A public narrative has been constructed based on a partial, out-of-context, and distorted vision, creating a perception of guilt that is far from the truth. I know that dismantling it will require time, effort and intense dedication," he wrote in Spanish.

"I make this decision with sadness, but convinced that it is what is best for both the company and myself. I face this process with serenity and fortitude, and I need to concentrate all my energy on proving my innocence," he added.
