Who had the most speaking time in the Democratic debate?

Former Vice President Joe Biden led Thursday night’s Democratic debate in speaking time.

Biden spoke for 17:22. He spoke the most words in the two previous debates, according to FiveThirtyEight.

  • Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt, with 13:43
  • Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., with 13:42;
  • South Bend, Indiana, Mayor, Pete Buttigieg with 11:52
  • Former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro with 11:09
  • Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., with 10:08
  • Former Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke with 9:25.
  • The candidate with the least speaking time was entrepreneur Andrew Yang, who spoke for 7:55.
