1. Feds May Acknowledge Ground Zero Cancer Link
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health will officially recognize the link between cancer and 9/11 rescue and recovery workers and people living near Ground Zero as early as today, a CDC spokesperson told ABC News. The publication of the final announcement will be the final step in ensuring certain cancers are covered by the compensation fund.

2. Chicago Teachers Strike After Talks Fail
For the first time in 25 years teachers in Chicago will strike after negotiations with the district failed. The Chicago Teachers Union says talks over issues like benefits and job security failed late Sunday night and more than 26,000 teachers and staff are set to begin picketing at 6:30 a.m. local time. Officials have made plans to monitor and feed students at 144 Chicago schools during the strike.

3. Fla. Cop in Obama Motorcade Struck, Killed
A police officer in Jupiter, Fla. was killed on Sunday afternoon while working on President Obama's motorcade. Authorities say the officer was struck by a truck on an entrance ramp to Interstate 95.

4. Serena Williams Wins Fourth US Open Title
Serena Williams won her fourth U.S. Open championship on Sunday night, coming back to win the last four games and defeat No. 1 ranked Victoria Azarenka. There has not been a three-set women's final in New York since 1995. Novak Djokovic faces Andy Murray in the men's final on Monday afternoon.

5. Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively Reportedly Tie the Knot
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony, a source confirmed to People magazine. The couple married on Sunday night at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine performed at the reception. Lively and Reynolds met while co-starring in 2011's "Green Lantern."
