ByGood Morning America

Feb. 25 -- If you want to know how crazy Americans are about their pets, consider the results of a recent survey that found 60 percent of pet owners celebrate their pets' birthdays and 40 percent call to let their pet hear their voice when they are away from home.

As part of Good Morning America's "Unleashed" series, we showed you some over-the-top items in canine couture and doggy indulgences with some help from veterinarian Dr. Marty Becker.
