— -- A New York dad is on cloud nine after he and his wife became first-time parents to four, since welcoming pregnancy.htm" id="ramplink_quadruplets_" target="_blank">quadruplets into the world this weekend.

"I'm looking forward to working a long day at work coming home and having a house full of kids," Chris Muchard of Rochester, New York, told ABC News. "I've always loved kids and I'm excited now to have my own. It's awesome and I'm so lucky to have four at a time.

"I know it's going to be very tough," he added. "Not sleeping and, of course, the financial aspect, but we're accepting it; we are excited and we are going to make it work."

Muchard said it was this past Mother's Day when he and his wife Katie learned they'd be having quads.

"The doctor started the ultrasound," he said. "She said, 'Oh, this wasn't what I was expecting. You see this four-leaf clover right here? Congrats, you're having quadruplets.'

"I said, 'Oh, my God, this is so cool,'" Muchard added. “An instant family."

In August, the couple announced the babies' genders in a YouTube video for loved ones living far away, revealing that Katie would be having three boys and a girl.

At the University of Rochester Medical Center at 8:09 a.m. Saturday, the Muchards welcomed their four little ones in the following order of birth:

Brian Thomas, 3 pounds, 10 ounces.

Lillian Amie, 2 pounds.

Owen Christopher, 2 pounds, 10 ounces.

Mason Kenneth, 2 pounds, 1 ounce.

"Thank you everyone for all the well wishes on our babies!" Katie Muchard wrote on Facebook. "I just was able to experience the greatest thing in life meeting my babies for the first time and seeing their dad light up changing their diapers! Welcome to the world..."

Chris Muchard said he and Katie are in the process of completing a nursery for four and he credits his wife for “being a trooper” throughout her pregnancy.

As for the question of the hour, Muchard said the conversation of more kids isn't completely off the table, as far as he's concerned.

"She [Katie] says, 'This is it, we're done,' but I'm keeping my options open," he said.
