Spider-Man 60th anniversary merch on sale now: Shop backpacks, tumblers and more
Calling all Spider-Man fans: this one's for you.
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Spider-Man's first comic book appearance in August 1962, Marvel is holding a yearlong celebration called "Beyond Amazing," with new product offerings, "exciting pop-up experiences," special comic book covers and fan events, among other things, according to its website.
"In 1962, readers the world over were introduced to Peter Parker, AKA the masked hero who embraced as much power as he did responsibility. Now, 60 years later, Marvel celebrates the enduring legacy of one of its greatest creations with 'Beyond Amazing,' a yearlong celebration of all things Spider-Man!" an article on Marvel's website reads.
Now through December 2022, Spider-Man fans old and new can shop the latest "Beyond Amazing" product launches, which include stainless steel tumblers, light-up bubble wands, backpacks, and more.
"Very few characters have touched the lives of fans around the world the way that Spider-Man has over the past 60 years," Paul Gitter, senior vice president of Marvel Consumer Products, said in a press release. "We're thrilled to be collaborating with best-in-class brands on unique Spider-Man offerings that continue to expand Marvel's leadership in the lifestyle space."
