June 20, 2014 -- Between hidden fees and long delays, airline travel has gotten increasingly unpleasant. But one Southwest Airlines flight attendant is doing his part to make flying fun.

Thanks to this cheeky steward, passengers aboard an evening flight from San Francisco to Chicago this week were treated to a vitual stand-up comedy act. Embellishing the standard safety speech, the funnyman informed the cabin that seatbelts should be worn "low and tight across your hips just like the hot pink Speedo I'm going to be wearing when I finally get the three of us to a hotel hot tub tonight."

He also reminded those on board to don their flotation devices in case of emergency. "Folks, please, it is a life vest, not a toilet seat cover," he scolded.

The flight attendant recognized that some might not appreciate his sense of humor. To those passengers, he generously offered an easy escape: "Folks, if you don't like the jokes or the service today, there are six ways out of this airplane; you can feel free to use them."

According to the woman who posted a recording of the routine to YouTube Thursday, there were no complaints. "I have never been on a plane when a flight attendant took command like that in such a charming way," she said. "He did not sit down or stop working the entire flight. He serviced everybody and did it with a smile on his face."

"The message is just very clear and very very simple," he concluded. "Do not be naughty in that potty. Leave the webcam alone or you['ll] end up on YouTube next week."

Southwest Airlines declined to identify the steward or comment on his performance.

As of this afternoon, the video has already been watched over 100,000 times.
