Walt Disney World Hikes Admission
Feb. 24, 2014— -- It's the happiest place on earth, though you may be a little less happy about the price.
The price of a one-day ticket to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom is now $99. That's a $4 increase from the previous price hike announced in June 2013. The price hike went into effect Sunday.

The $99 admission price applies to visitors age 10 and over. Kids ages 3-9 cost $93. At the other theme parks within Walt Disney World -- EPCOT, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios -- admission has also been hiked by $4. Admission to those parks is $94 for those 10 and up and $88 for kids 3-9.
"Our pricing reflects the high quality and breadth of experiences we offer and our ongoing commitment to investing in our parks," Kim Prunty, a Disney spokeswoman, told ABC News. "We offer a variety of ticket options that provide a great value, and find that most guests select multi-day tickets that offer additional savings."
Kids under 3 remain free in all parks.
