The show originally premiered in November 2016, with the first season depicting the marriage of then-Princess Elizabeth (played by Claire Foy) and Philip Mountbatten (played by Matt Smith), as well as Elizabeth's ascent to the throne.

Last week, it was announced that \"The Crown\" season 6 will arrive in two parts. Part one will be available to stream Nov. 16, and part two will arrive Dec. 14.
