The Los Angeles Sparks signed star forward Dearica Hamby to a contract extension through the 2025 season. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by the team Thursday. Hamby, 30, is a former WNBA champion, a two-time All-Star and two-time Sixth Woman of the Year. She is averaging 20.0 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 12 games (all starts) this season. "I'm grateful for finding a home in LA with an ownership group and organization that believes in me and has been nothing but supportive since the day I got here," Hamby said in a statement. "I look forward to continuing to build with my teammates and getting the Sparks back to the standard that has been historically set."
