The New Orleans Pelicans are adding Dejounte Murray to their backcourt via a trade with the Atlanta Hawks, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday. The Pelicans are sending two first-round picks -- a 2025 selection via the Los Angeles Lakers and a 2027 selection (least favorable from either the Milwaukee Bucks or New Orleans' own) -- to the Hawks for the 27-year-old Murray, sources said. Forwards Larry Nance Jr. and E.J. Liddell and guard Dyson Daniels are also going from New Orleans to Atlanta in the deal. Murray averaged a career-high 22.5 points in 2023-24 for the Hawks while also making a career-best 201 3-pointers. He averaged 6.4 assists and 5.3 rebounds while sharing the backcourt with fellow star Trae Young.
