Referencing clashes between federal agents and protesters during recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids, President Donald Trump said Friday he has directed Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and border czar Tom Homan to authorize ICE and other law enforcement officers to arrest anyone they believe is assaulting them.

In a social media post, Trump said he is giving \"total authorization\" that allows officers to protect themselves and to detain alleged offenders immediately.
