Emily Rivera told ABC News she was driving from Harrisburg to the Lehigh Valley and was in disbelief when she saw the plane begin to make its landing.

\"It's like, 'Oh, how crazy would it be if a plane just landed in front of me?' But it's not something that you ever expect to really happen,\" she said. \"It's kind of something you expect from the movies.\"

Eastbound traffic on the highway was temporarily detoured before it reopened later in the afternoon, the state police said.

The plane had taken off from New Jersey and was headed to Indiana with a 65-year old male pilot and 34-year-old female passenger on board, according to the local authorities.

The 1995 Commander 114B plane was later towed to a local airport.

The FAA will investigate.
