The last Met Gala that the singer attended was the 2016 gala. The theme that year was \"Manus x Machina,\" and Beyoncé stepped out in a Givenchy Haute Couture dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

This year's Met Gala theme is \"Costume Art,\" and the \"Fashion is Art\" dress code invites creative interpretation and bold looks. 

According to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, \"Costume Art\" aims to \"celebrate fashion as an art form.\"

Co-chairing this year's Met Gala alongside Beyoncé are actress Nicole Kidman, tennis legend Venus Williams, and former Vogue editor-in-chief and current Condé Nast Global Chief Content Officer Anna Wintour. 

The 2026 Met Gala Host Committee is chaired by Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz.
