Negotiations on a permanent peace plan have struggled to get underway, and in recent days, a fresh round of tit-for-tat strikes has occurred between the U.S. and Iran over the strategic waterway.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the average cost of regular, unleaded gas climbed to $4.50 in the week ending May 11 -- the highest it had been since mid-July 2022. The price has since fallen to as low as $3.79 in recent days.

To find out how much it costs to fill up, type in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and the city you're filling up in to calculate the price from a quarter tank to a full tank of gas.
