Trump criticized the Texas senator for spreading rumors that neurosurgeon Ben Carson was dropping out of the Iowa caucuses. A day after winning the Iowa caucuses, Cruz Tuesday issued an apology to Carson after his staff falsely told Iowa caucusgoers that Carson planned to quit the race, calling it a \"mistake.\"

During primetime of the Iowa Caucus, Cruz put out a release that @RealBenCarson was quitting the race, and to caucus (or vote) for Cruz.

Many people voted for Cruz over Carson because of this Cruz fraud. Also, Cruz sent out a VOTER VIOLATION certificate to thousands of voters.

Trump is doing more than just going after Cruz on Twitter; he's doing it in his campaign speeches and at his news conferences. When ABC News asked Trump at a news conference Tuesday night whether Cruz is running a dirty campaign, he said, \"I think he was certainly dirty. What he did to Ben Carson was terrible. I think what he did to voter violation forum; I thought that was terrible.\"

Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski says the GOP presidential candidate “speaks for himself” in his tweets.
