“He literally wants to spend more on the top one-tenth of one percent of earners than the bottom 60 percent of earners in our country combined,” she said.

In an interview on NBC's \"Meet the Press\" last weekend, Trump asserted, “Nobody knows more about taxes than I do and income than I do.” But he has recently drawn scrutiny over the specifics of his tax proposal.

In her speech today, Clinton eventually turned to Trump’s own tax returns.

“What about his taxes?” she asked. \"When you run for president -- especially when you become the nominee -- that is kind of expected. My husband and I have released 33 years of tax returns. We got eight years on our website right now. So you got to ask yourself why doesn't he want to release them?”

Clinton has not released this year's taxes yet, but plans to. She and husband Bill Clinton did so last year around this time.
