She had friends and family at her side for support, including model Anne Kortright-Shilstat and her mom Rosa.

The last step showed her shaved head.

Kortright-Shilstat also posted on Intsagram about her friend and helping her through this, writing, \"I couldn't be prouder of you today. Your strength and courage is so inspiring and I am so very lucky to have you in my life. Thank you for blindly trusting me today to help you with such a big step.\"

Doherty revealed her cancer diagnosis last summer, but coupled the reveal with a lawsuit filed against her former business managers, whom she says \"blundered\" her insurance payments, causing them to lapse. A lawyer for the firm has denied this claim and the suit is still ongoing.

The Hollywood Reporter added in April that the depositions from the case and Doherty's medical records have been sealed with a protective order.
