\"I don't care if people think I'm crazy or not,\" Braun said. \"I'm not. All I care about is [what] my four children think ... My children will be happy and proud, and what better life lesson than to show your kids through actions that you try and do things that are nearly impossible?\"

Braun said that even if he doesn't succeed at first, he will keep trying to jump the canyon until he succeeds.

His first attempt will take place on Sept. 17 at Snake River Canyon in Idaho.
