Jones added, \"It's the film that leads to the story of a new hope, which was obviously the first of the trilogy in the 70s films. We very much wanted to capture that atmosphere and the freshness that those films have.\"

Jones said if she could build an army with any three \"Star Wars\" characters, she'd choose Chewbacca, Han Solo and Rey.

\"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story\" hits theaters Dec. 16.
