It comes as no surprise that Hollywood veteran Meryl Streep will be taking home a Golden Globe this year. It was previously announced that the eight-time Golden Globe winner is set to receive the 2017 Cecil B. DeMille Award.

She joins previous recipients of the prestigious honor — for \"outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment,\" according to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which produces the awards — including Walt Disney, Judy Garland, Kirk Douglas, Lucille Ball and last year's recipient, Denzel Washington.

Jimmy Fallon will host the awards ceremony, to be broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET on Jan. 8.
