BOSTON -- Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving believes that his team was overdue for a bit of adversity and wants the Celtics to embrace one of the few rough patches the team has encountered this season. After sitting out Thursday's loss to the Philadelphia 76ers due to shoulder soreness, Irving returned Sunday to score a game-high 40 points but the Celtics couldn't rally out of a 19-point hole while falling to the Orlando Magic 103-95 at TD Garden. Told that teammate Al Horford had suggested that the Celtics need to play like "we're fighting for our lives right now," Irving downplayed Boston's first three-game losing streak of the season.
