Nick then went on to thank the band's management and record label, as well as Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote the song, and Frank Dukes, who produced it.

Finally, Nick thanked the band's loyal followers.

And Kevin Jonas reacted specifically to a “Billboard” chart fact: In the entire history of the Billboard Hot 100, only two songs by a duo or group have ever debuted at #1: \"Sucker\" and Aerosmith's 1998 smash. \"I Don't Want to Miss a Thing.\"

The reunited boy band's comeback single \"Sucker\" debuts on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, bringing along with it several impressive stats, as reported by Billboard.

First, this is the group's first-ever #1 single, 12 years after their first charting single, \"Year 3000,\" back in 2007. They've had 16 songs in all appear on the chart, including two top 10s, but had never before managed to top it.

It's the longest any group's waited for its first #1 since Daft Punk took nearly 20 years to reach the top, as a featured guest on The Weeknd's \"Starboy.\"

What makes \"Sucker\"'s success more impressive is that the group hasn't had a song on the chart for six years -- they've been absent since 2013, when \"Pom Poms\" hit #60. That's the longest break between a prior charted Hot 100 song and a number-one hit since Luis Fonsi took eight years and six months to score with \"Despacito.\"

And perhaps even more surprising, \"Sucker\" marks the first time a boy band has been #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in more than 16 years. The last act to do it was B2K with \"Bump, Bump, Bump\" in 2003.

Surprisingly, while *NSYNC and 98 Degrees each had #1 hits, the Backstreet Boys and One Direction never got higher than #2.

As solo artists, Nick Jonas reached #7 with his hit \"Jealous,\" while Joe Jonas got to #9 as a member of DNCE, thanks to their smash \"Cake By the Ocean.\"
