During her impassioned speech, Keys also touched on people being themselves and thriving in who they are.

\"All we have to do is love who we are, appreciate our individuality and embrace what makes us unique,\" she said.

Later in the night, the music icon performed her new song, \"Raise a Man\" with her older boy Egypt, 8. He was also a big hit.
