In the past Reynolds has also credited Lively with helping him during key moments in his life, including reconciling with his father before his father's Parkinson's battle and death in 2015.

Reynolds recently told People magazine that the support also extends into their home life, for the sake of their kids. In fact, they trade off working to make sure one parent is at home with the two girls.

\"Blake and I don’t do movies at the same time,\" Reynolds said. \"If she is doing a movie in Thailand and I am doing a movie in Vancouver, we would just never see each other. We operate as a unit and that works really well for us.\"

\"The kids stay with us and the family stays together, and that is where home is,\" he added. \"So if we are in Spain or Utah or New York, as long as we are together, we’re home.”

As for his new film, Reynolds is happy to work on something that his young girls can watch. \"Deadpool\" isn't exactly 2-year-old friendly.

\"It’s so cool to see my girls pumped,\" he said.

Last year Lively spoke to \"GMA\" about trying her best to give her daughters a regular life, despite their parents' fame.

\"Our kids have very normal lives,\" she said, \"as much as that's possible.\"
