Carey's video came after a long internet chain that rose to popularity when John Mayer first did the trick and challenged action movie star Jason Statham to knock a twist cap off with one swift kick.

Others have shared their own attempts at the challenge on social media with everything from water bottles to hot sauce bottles and more are adding their own twist.

But Carey's followers chimed in with responses like, \"Everyone can stop now, clear winner.\" They declared her rendition \"iconic.\"
