Either way, Spears' followers are starved for new music. The 38-year-old hasn't released anything since her \"Glory\" era in 2016 with the singles \"Make Me...\" and \"Slumber Party.\"

As for Madonna, she has yet to go on a musical hiatus. \"Rebel Heart\" dropped in 2015 and spawned the dance hits \"B**** I'm Madonna\" -- featuring vocals from Nicki Minaj -- and \"Ghosttown.\"

The 61-year-old's most recent album is \"Madame X,\" which she released in 2019.
