Crawley, 39, was announced as the new Bachelorette this past March, but production on her season stalled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In June, ABC executive Rob Mills -- the network's VP of alternative programming -- said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest that filming would take place in a \"bubble\" in which everyone would be tested for coronavirus and shooting would mostly be at one location. He added that it was \"absolutely safe\" for Crawley and her suitors to kiss, because of their controlled environment.

Host Chris Harrison spoke to \"Entertainment Tonight\" Tuesday, and teased that this season as \"a roller-coaster ride unlike any other.\"

\"Bachelor Nation and the world are not ready for what happened inside the [bubble],\" he added. \"It is unlike anything we have ever seen on this show before. I know I say that sometimes, but I truly think we have outdone ourselves this time.\"
