At the time of Dixon's death, Foxx shared a special tribute featuring photos with her. He wrote about how much of an impact she made on his life.

\"Anyone who knew my sis... knew that she was a bright light... I can’t tell you how many times we have had parties at the house where she has got on the dance floor and stolen the show...\" he wrote.

\"Well I know she is in heaven now dancing with her wings on...tho my pain is unbelievable I smile when I think of all of the great memories that she left me... my family... and her friends…\" he added. Their family did not publicly reveal the cause of Dixon's death at the time.

The actor gave an update on how his family is coping with her loss during an interview with Rachel Lindsay on \"Extra\" in December 2020.

\"You know what? We are getting along,\" he said. \"Earlier, when it happened, it was so abrupt. It was so much pain, man. My mother, my father, and my sister, they all live with me, and so it was so much pain.\"

\"We will remember and will continuously remember her in a joyous way,\" he said.
