The short film surrounds a man trying to go home to his dog but gets stuck in a time loop that leads him to relive an unfortunate run-in with the police.

The 32-minute drama features Joey Bada$$, Andrew Howard and Zaria Simone.

\"Today, the police will kill three people,\" Free said upon accepting his Oscar award for best live action short film.

\"And tomorrow, the police will kill three people,\" he continued. \"And the day after that, the police will kill three people. Because on average, the police in America every day kill three people. Which amounts to about 1,000 people a year. And those people happen to be disproportionately black people. I just ask that you please not be indifferent. Please don't be indifferent to our pain.\"
