The post comes after the court approved Spears' request to appoint high-powered attorney Mathew S. Rosengart as her new legal counsel for her conservatorship case.

During the July 14 hearing, Spears addressed California Superior Court Judge Brenda J. Penny and stated her desire to have her father, Jamie Spears, who is conservator of her estate, removed from her conservatorship.

\"I am here to get rid of my dad,\" she said.

\"My dad needs to be removed [from the conservatorship] today,\" she added, clarifying that she approved of Jodie Montgomery's job as conservator of her person.

Vivian Thoreen, Jamie Spears' attorney, later stated there have been \"a lot of misstatements\" in Britney Spears' testimonies.

Spears has been in a conservatorship for 13 years, since it was established in 2008 when she was hospitalized for mental health reasons.
