The actor and Schweitzer, a pediatric nurse, began dating after meeting at an event in 2016, according to People magazine.

Stonestreet's post was flooded with well-wishes and congratulatory remarks from many of his \"Modern Family\" co-stars and friends.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who played Stonestreet's on-screen husband, Mitchell Pritchett, on the hit sitcom, wrote, \"Jesus Christ. Finally.\"
