Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan, also expressed her excitement. \"My heart is full #engaged #newbeginnings,\" she wrote on an Instagram post overtop a snapshot of the couple.

\"My heart is whole,\" Dina told Entertainment Tonight. \"For a mother, there is nothing more important than to see your children happy and loved. Her beautiful new journey begins. Love and light.\"

The \"Rumors\" singer first posted about Shammas in a since-deleted Instagram post, in which she called him her boyfriend, from February 2020.

This is Lohan's second engagement, having previously been engaged to Egor Tarabasov.
