It turns out that Katy was in on the joke all along, too.

\"After all the stuff he's done to me, he deserves it,\" Caroline tells the camera backstage with a smile.

The couple has a history of pranking one another, with Caroline saying it started when she and Luke met in college and continues to this day with their annual Pranksmas, where they prank family and friends throughout the holiday season.
