According to the Academy of Dermatology, it is recommended to use a sunscreen, including tinted, with a SPF of 30 or above and look for the words “broad-spectrum” and “water-resistant” on the label.

\"Unlike many traditional sunscreens, tinted sunscreens have the added benefit of protecting against visible light, which can accelerate skin darkening and pigmentation,\" Dr. Alexis E. Carrington from the ABC News Medical Unit said.
