According to Oakley, the first step to making your makeup look good throughout the day and last into the evening hours is to prep properly.

She suggests using a hydrating moisturizer to start, like Bobbi Brown's Hydrating Water Fresh Cream Moisturizer.

\"In my opinion, the skin care you use is just as important, if not more important than the makeup products you use. It can help with the way the makeup sits on your skin, the longevity, and prevent it from looking cakey,\" Oakley said.

If getting your makeup done by a professional artist, Oakley suggests carrying a lipstick, concealer and pressed powder in a bag for touchups throughout the night.

\"My biggest piece of advice for brides on their big day would be to relax and take in every moment,\" Oakley added. \"Prep as much as you can by doing trials with your glam team and come with proper inspiration photos. This is so important to make sure that you get the look that you’re going for and feel your absolute best.\"
