— -- Question: What is invasive ductal carcinoma?

Answer: Invasive ductal carcinoma is the most common type of breast cancer. It represents about 85 to 90 percent of all breast cancers, and then within the invasive ductal carcinoma spectrum, there are many different subtypes that are ductal cancers. Invasive ductal cancers, in contrast to lobular cancers, tend to have bigger cells and tend to produce a mass.
