Sherrod Brown, the Ohio Democrat who was voted out of office two years ago, is projected to defeat Sen. Jon Husted, and return to the Senate.

Brown is breaking some historical trends by returning to the Senate just two years after losing his seat as only six senators have returned after losing an election since 1946.

Democratic state Rep. James Talarico is projected to win against Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton in the high-stakes Texas Senate race, turning the seat blue.

Polls have now closed in California, Idaho, Oregon and Washington state.

Democratic Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff, who narrowly won his Senate seat in a runoff election in 2021, earned more support from Georgia voters in this year’s race, according to ABC Voter Polls.

The incumbent, who is projected to win reelection, won the support of around 6 in 10 voters across the state, according to ABC Voter Polls.

Voters under the age of 65 helped propel Ossoff to victory, according to ABC News Voter Polls. Nearly 9 in 10 voters between the ages of 18-24 voted for Ossoff, while roughly 8 in 10 between the ages of 25-29 did the same. Voters between the ages of 50-64 were roughly evenly split between Ossoff and his Republican challenger, Mike Collins, while voters ages 65 and older favored Collins by about 10 percentage points.

GOP Rep. Barry Moore is projected to defeat Everett Wess to win the Senate seat in Alabama.

The seat was open after Sen. Tommy Tuberville announced he was not running for reelection to focus on a run for governor.
