Brad Pitt shares message for 2020 graduates: 'Our money's on you to make this world a better place'

Brad Pitt recently joined the growing list of public figures sending well-wishes to the class of 2020.

Missouri State University shared a video with a message for graduates from the Academy Award-winning actor on Monday.

Clif Smart, the public university's president, introduced the actor's message alongside the school's mascot, Boomer the Bear.

"Our students always say that Missouri State University and Springfield feel like home," Smart said. "It's just a place where people always remember where they've come from. Brad, take it away."

"Hi everyone. Brad here from quarantine with a shoutout to the graduating class of Missouri State University," the actor, who is from Springfield, Missouri, shared in the video.

"It must be very strange doing this in these trying times, but know we're rooting for you," Pitt, 56, said. "Our money's on you to make this world a better place, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors."

"So, you did it!" he added. "You made it. Enjoy. Congrats again, and think big."

Smart later shared a video crediting Dr. Elizabeth K. King from the university's College of Education for putting together the video from Pitt.
