This Christmas season, Dolly Parton is making a public plea to help find an organ donor for her longtime personal attorney, Jerry Edelstein.

Edelstein, who is reportedly facing renal failure, is in need of a new kidney.

"Jerry and I have been friends for several decades now and he’s one of the finest people in the whole world," the entertainment icon said in a new video posted to YouTube. "As the holiday season is upon us, one of my wishes is for a new kidney for Jerry."

Edelstein also represents rocker Jon Bon Jovi.

While Parton is not a suitable donor, she said, she encouraged her fans to see if they are by visiting the website for the Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation of America.

"In the spirit of giving, please go to PublicGood.com/FloodSisters and see how you can help," Parton said. "Please do because he’s so sweet and precious!"
