We're just a few months out from the "Game of Thrones" finale and buzz is already beginning about the new prequel series that is currently filming for HBO.
George R.R. Martin spoke to Entertainment Weekly and spilled some incredible details.
Here's what we learned:

Those wanting to know more about the Night King's origin shall get their wish, as this is set long before Jon Snow and Daenerys' story.
In fact, it will detail the events of the The Long Night, the original battle between men and the white walkers.

It may be thousands of years before Jon Snow, but the Starks are descendants of the first men, and Martin said they will "definitely" be there.
“There are things like direwolves and mammoths," he added.
Who are the Casterlys?
While the Lannisters will not be there given they were not around, there is another family residing in their eventual home.
"Castlery Rock is certainly there; it’s like the Rock of Gibraltar. It’s actually occupied by the Casterlys -- for whom it’s still named after in the time of 'Game of Thrones,'" Martin said.
This family eventually lost their home, he added.
What will it be called?
While "The Long Night" has been kicked around, Martin heard another version he quite liked.
“I heard a suggestion that it could be called 'The Longest Night,' which is a variant I wouldn’t mind,” he added.
Only time will tell what the specifics of the series are, but Naomi Watts is slated to play one of the lead characters.
