I. Sponsor(s) and Prize Provider
The GMA Taylor Swift Concert Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Good Morning America ("GMA") and American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. (“ABC”) (collectively, the “Sponsor”).
II. Eligibility
Those who wish to enter the Sweepstakes must be legal residents of the forty-eight (48) continental United States or the District of Columbia, eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry, who are willing and able to attend the prize event in New York, NY on August 22, 2019 (as further described below). NOTE: SPONSOR SHALL NOT PROVIDE ANY TRANSPORTATION TO OR FROM THE PRIZE EVENT. Therefore, the winner of this Sweepstakes must be able to travel to the event location in New York, NY on his or her own means.
Any individuals (including, but not limited to, employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six (6) months, performed services for GMA, ABC, any other organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Sweepstakes or supplying the Prize (as defined below), and their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or play. "Immediate family members" shall mean parents, stepparents, children, stepchildren, siblings, stepsiblings, or spouses. "Household members" shall mean people who share the same residence at least three (3) months a year.
Sweepstakes Entry Period: The Sweepstakes entry period begins 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on Friday, August 16, 2019 and ends at 12:00 p.m. (noon) ET on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 (the "Entry Period"). Sponsor’s computer is the official clock for this Sweepstakes.
III. How to Enter
During the Entry Period you may enter by navigating to the website www.goodmorningamerica.com, scrolling down on the homepage and clicking on the image that refers to the “GMA Taylor Swift Concert Sweepstakes” which will take you to the Sweepstakes entry form (“Sweepstakes Site”). There you will find instructions for submitting your Sweepstakes entry electronically.
As part of your entry, you will be required to upload one (1) photograph of yourself (“Photo”). The Photo may include other people but the actual entrant must appear in the Photo. Minors must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to appear in the Photo. A properly-submitted entry form and Photo shall constitute a valid “Entry” into the Sweepstakes. Limit one (1) Entry per person during the Entry Period. Entries must be received during the Entry Period.
Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may disqualify any Entry that is deemed inappropriate, illegal or offensive, or otherwise not considered a valid Entry, and the entrant of such disqualified Entry will not be eligible to win the Prize.
You warrant and represent that your Entry and all of the materials submitted by you (e.g., Photo and contact information) are truthful and original to you (and not based on or derived from any other materials), that you own all necessary rights in and to the Photo, which are fully transferable, and that you are not subject to any agreement which would interfere with your ability to grant all of the rights to be provided hereunder. Accordingly, you further warrant and represent that: 1) you have the right to enter into the Sweepstakes and grant the rights hereunder without the need for permission from or payment to any other party; and 2) the exercise of the rights set forth in these Official Rules by Sponsor will not violate any third-party rights and will not violate any contractual obligations or confidential relationships which you may have to or with any third party. Photo should not contain any third-party logos, brands, products, trademarks or copyrighted material or you may risk disqualification. This means that no one in your Photo should wear any clothing or hats containing third party logos or trademarks.
Entries remain the property of Sponsor. Once your Entry has been submitted, you will not receive a further acknowledgement, and your Entry will not be returned.
All Entries must be submitted in compliance with these Official Rules, and all incomplete Entries will be disqualified. Proof of entering information at the Sweepstakes Site or registration form is not considered proof of delivery to or receipt by Sponsor of such Entry. Personal information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes will be used in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy, available at https://privacy.thewaltdisneycompany.com/en/current-privacy-policy/.
NOTE: You will be asked to consent to receive promotional emails and reminder emails from GMA. Consenting to receive promotional or reminder emails is not optional for entry into this Sweepstakes and must be agreed upon in order to be eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes and does not improve your chances of winning. The use of such emails shall be subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy, and you may opt out of receiving these emails at any time.
Sponsor can provide no technical support and accepts no responsibility for insuring the receipt or successful submission of your Entry. Mass entries or entries generated by script, macro or use of automated methods will be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. No responsibility is assumed for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alternation of, Entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any temelphone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or electronic Entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this Sweepstakes. Except as otherwise contemplated by this Official Rules, and to the extent entrants may otherwise elect at the time of entry, information provided to you for this Sweepstakes is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy.
IV. Winner Notification
One (1) prize winner (“Winner”) will be selected via random drawing on August 20, 2019 from all eligible Entries received.
Potential winner will be notified via telephone call on August 20, 2019 in the window of 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM ET. Potential Winner must answer Sponsor’s notification phone call in order to receive the Prize. Failure to answer the initial notification phone call after two (2) attempts will result in disqualification and the awarding of the Prize to an alternate winner.
Potential Winner will be required to complete, sign and return within two (2) business days of transmission, an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release and Indemnification, and a Publicity Release where allowed by law, and any other documentation required by Sponsor (collectively, “Verification Documents”). If potential Winner does not respons to the initial notification as set forth above, if Verification Documents are not returned to Sponsor within the specified time period, if potential Winner cannot attend the performance connected with this Sweepstakes on the specified date, if any prize notification is returned as non-deliverable, if potential Winner is found to be ineligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules, or if potential Winner cannot or does not accept the Prize for any reason, Prize may be forfeited and potential Winner may be disqualified without compensation of any kind an an alternate winner may be selected in a random drawing (time permitting) from the remaining eligible entries received.
In the event of a tie, the Nominee whose Entry has the highest score in the “compelling nature of story” category will be declared the Winner. Winner may be announced on-air on GMA and/or online on Sweepstakes Site and/or GMA social media accounts.
Limit one (1) Prize per Winner for this Sweepstakes. People who have won any other prizes from GMA within ninety (90) days of entry are not eligible to enter this Sweepstakes.
Final determination of Winner is conditional on verification of eligibility and compliance with all rules and procedures.
V. Prize:
The Winner will receive two (2) tickets to the exclusive Taylor Swift concert in Central Park on August 22, 2019 (the “Prize”).
Location: Rumsey Playfield in New York City’s Central Park.
• Winner should arrive by 5:00 a.m. on the concert date. Doors open at 6 a.m. Early arrival is strongly recommended. If you arrive after 6:30 a.m., GMA CANNOT guarantee you access. Access is on a first come, first serve basis and will be permitted until capacity is reached in the venue.
• The concert will starts at approximately 8:30 a.m. The artist will perform 3-4 songs. The concert ends at 9 a.m. and the concert audience is dismissed. • Backpacks or bags are NOT permitted inside the venue. • Please bring an umbrella just in case it rains. • Wear comfortable shoes as you will have to stand. • If you are handicapped or traveling with someone who needs a chair, seating can be provided. The park is accessible by wheelchair. The GMA staff and security are willing to assist if you need help. Because this Prize is not available for sale to the public and cannot be purchased, this Prize has no approximate retail value.
All expenses not specifically provided for herein (including travel to/from the concert location) are the Winner’s sole responsibility. Some restrictions may apply.
Winner is not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes or to obtain cash or other substitutes, but Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may substitute prizes of equal or greater value. If Winner elects to attend without a guest, no additional compensation will be awarded.
Prize is subject to availability. Sponsor is not responsible for cancellation or preemption of the show or for other circumstances that make it impractical or impossible to fulfill this element of the Prize.
VI. Releases
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all respects. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants and Winner agree to execute any and all paperwork requested by the Sponsor.
By participating in this Sweepstakes and accepting any prize that they may win, Entrants and agree to release American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., its respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Sweepstakes and/or acceptance or use of the Prize.
Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence and Entry materials in programming or promotional material in any and all media currently in existence or hereafter created, worldwide in perpetuity, or on a winner's list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above-mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.
Winner may be announced on-air on GMA and/or online on Sweepstakes Site and/or GMA social media accounts. Any announcement or appearance on-air or online is subject to availability. In the sole discretion of Sponsor, Entrant’s submitted Photo may be featured in videotaped and/or live broadcast segments on GMA and/or online on Sweepstakes Site and/or GMA social media accounts, or may be used in connection with the marketing and advertising of the Sweepstakes or GMA by any means or method whether now known or hereafter devised and in all media, including, but not limited to online or social media, worldwide in perpetuity. If featured or used, Sponsor reserves the right to edit any submission materials in its sole discretion.
To claim Prize: (a) Winner must provide proof of age, identity and residency and (b) Winner must sign and return affidavit of eligibility/compliance with these Sweepstakes Rules, publicity/liability release and indemnification within the time period specified by Sponsors.
VII. Miscellaneous; Winner Posting
Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the Sweepstakes in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including, but not limited to, acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the Sweepstakes as originally planned.
Official Rules will be posted on www.goodmorningamerica.com; the name of the Winner may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope within sixty (60) days after the Sweepstakes end date to Good Morning America, 47 West 66th Street, New York, NY 10023.
