Harry Potter Spinoff 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' Featurette Released

WATCH: Eddie Redmayne Conjures New Role in Harry Potter Spinoff

Dry your tears, Potter fans.

J.K. Rowling is about to deliver another fantastical film. The Harry Potter spinoff, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” is due to premiere in the fall and a new featurette has given us a glimpse into the mystical world she has created yet again.

The preview promises plenty of magic and wizardry to satisfy that Harry itch. Indeed, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” was a textbook the wizard studied up on at Hogwarts.

The new film will star Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne, who plays Newt Scamander, a “magizoologist” traveling to America in the hopes of finding more magical beasts to write his book.

As Rowling explains at the beginning of the trailer, her heroes “are always people who feel themselves to be set apart, stigmatized or ‘othered.’ That’s at the heart of most of what I write, and it’s certainly at the heart of this movie.”

This will mark Rowling’s first go at screenwriting. She also produced the film, directed by David Yates. “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens Nov. 18.
