Inside Gwyneth Paltrow's no-makeup-allowed party

WATCH: How Gwyneth Paltrow is redefining the meaning of a blended family

Gwyneth Paltrow threw a celebrity-studded party Wednesday night with a catch -- guests were asked to not wear makeup.

To celebrate her cosmetics line, Goop Glow, the Goop founder threw a "glow to dinner" bash in Beverly Hills, California, attended by a group that included Demi Moore and her daughter, Rumer Willis, fashion designer Rachel Zoe and jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer.

A focal point of the event was a conversation between Paltrow and artist Alexandra Grant about "being creative, the importance of mentorship and collaboration, building positive identities for a more equal world, and of course LOVE!" Grant wrote on Instagram.

Grant was recently in the news for her relationship with actor Keanu Reeves.

"About last night... had the immense pleasure of interviewing @grantalexandra one of THE most brilliant, expansive, talented thinkers I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with," Paltrow wrote on Instagram. "A beautiful gathering in celebration of beauty just the way we come. The one on my left ain’t so bad either. #nomakeup #goopglow"

Paltrow, 47, has devoted a lot of time and energy to building Goop, and last year said acting had lost its appeal. However, last year she appeared in Netflix's "The Politician," and, more recently, she created a documentary series for the streaming service called "The Goop Lab."

"I have had a lot of good luck and a lot of hard work, which led to a really good film career," she said. "At a certain point I felt like it wasn’t what I wanted to do … so I did a little pivot."
