Palmer appeared on "Good Morning America" on Friday to tease her upcoming performance and said she chose the tune because the Muses in the animated film brought a vibe that was "soulful and had so much personality."

The 26-year-old also revealed she wanted to be Pocahontas growing up and why, in her opinion, people are drawn to Disney songs in general.

"Well, these Disney songs are a part of all our childhoods, I mean, they date back so far," Palmer explained. "I think immediately when you hear them, you go back to that very pure space of just enjoying and having fun and celebrating. That's a part of it but then also, right now, that's what we need. We need to feel togetherness, we need to feel unity."

The “Strahan, Sara and Keke” co-host shares why she chose the classic song from “Hercules” and why she thinks people are drawn to music right now.

Sabrina Carpenter, Tituss Burgess and classical pianist Lang Lang are also on the bill for the special, along with previously announced performers Halsey, Donald Glover, Idina Menzel, Miguel, Seth Rogen, Josh Gad, Billy Eichner, Shakira, Rebel Wilson, Derek and Julianne Hough and Anika Noni Rose.
