Much has been said over the years about Naomi Judd's relationships with her daughters, Wynonna and Ashley.

The family matriarch, however, said that these days, things are going well, though they aren't seeing each other much.

"Wynonna is staying out on the road so stinking much, singing," she said during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live." "Ashley I know is in the Smoky Mountains, hiking."

When they do have time to get together, Judd, 68, said theirs is a "good" relationship, though it has its trying moments.

"We live in a valley -- a very remote valley -- it's called 'Peaceful Valley,' [and] we try," she explained. "[But] it's that mother-daughter relationship!"

Still, that closeness -- both literally and figuratively -- is there.

"Wynonna lives over the hill behind me, and Ashley lives up the road," she esaid. "It's a compound!"
