Oscars 2022: 94th Academy Awards to take place March 27

Following last month's COVID-19 pandemic-delayed Oscars telecast, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced next year's ceremony will take place and air live on ABC on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

The 94th Academy Awards, which will move back to Hollywood's Dolby Theatre, were originally scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, before the pandemic hit.

Nominations for the 2022 Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022.

Next year will also see the return of Oscars traditions like the Governors Awards and the Oscar Nominees Luncheon, both of which were canceled because of the pandemic. The former event will take place on Jan. 15, while the luncheon will take place March 7, 2022.
