The Rolling Stones to release new album of original songs called 'Hackney Diamonds'

After weeks of speculation, The Rolling Stones have announced that they are coming out with a new album.

A press release from the legendary band on Monday confirmed that Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood will release an album called "Hackney Diamonds."

"Hackney Diamonds" will be their first album of original songs since their 2005 album, "A Bigger Bang."

"A new Stones era," the band teased on Instagram over the weeekend with a video of a diamond-like heart emerging from the ocean before shattering into pieces to reveal their iconic logo.

Fans will have to wait a little bit longer for the full details.

Jagger, Richards and Wood are expected to share more about the album during a press conference on Wed., Sept. 6, that will be moderated by "The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon.

The event will be held in East London's Hackney district and streamed live globally on YouTube starting at 9:30 a.m. ET. In a post on social media The Stones promised they'll be "talking new album, new music, new era."
