Tim McGraw drops touching video for 'I Called Mama'

Tim McGraw's music video for "I Called Mama" is as touching as the song itself.

The new video, which was released Tuesday evening, is a tribute to mothers everywhere, including McGraw's own mom, Betty Trimble, and his wife, singer Faith Hill.

The video features photos and videos of McGraw's fans with their mothers, including footage of a woman introducing her newborn to her mother through a glass door -- presumably during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While there is no shortage of happy moments, there are a few that are sure to bring a tear to the eye, including one image of a bride holding a photograph of her late mother.

"We should all call Mama more often… or whoever those people in our lives are that keep us connected to what really matters," McGraw wrote in an Instagram message to his fans late last month.

Earlier this month, McGraw, 53, who has three daughters with Hill, 52, said that the first time he heard the song, "I just sort of fell apart." He added that learning the lyrics so that he could serenade Hill intensified its impact.

"It really hit me," McGraw said. "It has a simple message to it, but it just means so much."
