National Ice Cream Day is Sunday, July 17, and it's the perfect time to score some discounts and freebies on the beloved frozen dessert.

Rewards members will receive 3 ounces of soft serve and free toppings on Sunday, with some exclusions, when they enter an exclusive promo code that will be announced on Instagram and via email newsletter on the morning of July 17.
Ace Hardware/Benjamin Moore Paint
The hardward store chain has declared Saturday, July 16, "Some Day" -- the day that "consumers everywhere come together to tackle their overdue paint projects" -- and is rewarding those task-tacklers with ice cream.
"To celebrate a job well done, Ace Hardware and Benjamin Moore Paint are giving away free ice cream inspired by popular Benjamin Moore paint colors on National Ice Cream Day, Sunday, July 17," the company said in a press release.
The flavors, named after their corresponding paint colors, include French White 1093, Mint Chocolate Chip 436, Strawberry-n-Cream 2103-70 and Cocoa Brown 2101-20.
Consumers interested in scoring the limited edition flavors can fill out an online questionnaire, available through the Ace Hardware Instagram account on Saturday, July 16. Ten winners from that nationwide pool will be chosen to get ice cream shipped to them overnight.
Additionally, the company stated, on Sunday, "fans in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles can receive a sweet reward from Ace Hardware's Instagram page (@acehardware) by completing the questionnaire linked in the story. Fans can win their own Benjamin Moore-inspired ice cream, while supplies last."
Baskin-Robbins
The ice cream shop will offer customers $5 off any purchase over $15 from Sunday July 17 through Saturday July 23, both in-store and online. Use the code "BECOOLER" at checkout for any online orders and scan the Baskin-Robbins mobile app coupon in stores at checkout to get the discount.
Cold Stone Creamery
On July 17, a special offer will be loaded onto the Cold Stone app. The brand will also be offering free delivery on online orders all weekend long, from July 15 through July 17.
Dairy Queen
Customers who come in on Sunday to participating locations can get $1 off a Chocolate Dipped Cone. The deal is available through the fast food chain's mobile app.
Dippin' Dots
Customers can get a free mini cup of the flash frozen ice cream beads at participating locations. No purchase required.
Oatly
Oatly is taking over 25 traditional ice cream trucks across Los Angeles, New York City and St. Louis to distribute over 16,000 of the brand’s new 100% non-dairy frozen dessert bars for free.
The non-GMO and vegan dessert brand will be serving four flavors: vanilla, chocolate fudge, salted caramel and strawberry swirl.
Salt & Straw
The gourmet ice cream shop has a brand-new Culinary Perfume which will be offered as a free topping on National Ice Cream Day at all scoop shops. The innovation is meant to add an aromatic spritz to the top of the frozen dessert. Additionally, from July 14 through July 18, customers who purchase orders online and buy five pints will get a sixth surprise pint for free, with the promotion automatically applied at checkout.
